Metrobus involved in crash on Glebe Road

At least one person was injured when a Metrobus was rear-ended by a passenger vehicle on Glebe Road just south of Interstate 395 in Arlington, according to Metro officials.

Metro spokesman Reggie Woodruff said the crash occurred shortly before 4:30 Monday afternoon. Woodruff said none of the passengers on board the bus was injured, but at least one person riding in the vehicle that struck the bus was hurt. Woodruff could not say whether the person had been taken to the hospital, or whether the injuries were serious.

The crash occurred as the afternoon commute was getting into full swing and traffic quickly backed up.
