Cop impersonator arrested on sex charges

Montgomery County police on Monday arrested a man who pulled a gun on a woman and claimed to be a Montgomery County police officer before forcing her to have sex, police said Tuesday.

Nicholas Morales-Macedo, 21, of Silver Spring, was charged with one count of committing a first-degree sex offense and one count of first-degree assault.

Police said he invited a woman to his house for sex after she posted an advertisement on backpage.com, a classified advertising website. The woman told police that she had agreed to meet Morales-Macedo for sex.

But when the woman arrived at Morales-Macedo’s house and undressed, he pulled a rifle on her and claimed to be a cop, police said. He told her she was under arrest, but could avoid charges if she performed a sex act, police said.

The woman eventually fled Morales-Macedo’s home and contacted police.

Morales-Macedo was arrested Monday after a search of his residence. He is being held on an unspecified bond.
