Trump building a climate wall to protect golf course

Donald Trump may say climate change is a hoax, but that’s not stopping him from building a wall to keep its effects from ruining his golf courses in Ireland.

The presumptive GOP nominee is planning on building sea walls to keep rising ocean tides from overtaking his putting greens on the emerald isle, reports Politico.

A permit application filed by Trump’s International Golf Links Ireland includes the words “global warming and its effects” as the reason for the wall to protect the County Clare course from erosion.

Trump’s golfing affiliate also included an environmental assessment with the application that predicts continuing erosion, saying it underestimated the effects of global warming.

“If the predictions of an increase in sea level rise as a result of global warming prove correct, however, it is likely that there will be a corresponding increase in coastal erosion rates not just in Doughmore Bay but around much of the coastline of Ireland,” the environmental assessment reads.
