House Republican leadership is set to hold a press conference following the announcement of an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ordered the impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, doing so without a vote on the House floor.

“House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s actions,” McCarthy said. “Taken together, these allegations paint a picture of corruption.”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called the impeachment inquiry a “witch hunt” during a weekly press conference.
Several Republicans in Congress have already attempted to oust Biden by filing articles of impeachment against him, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
