Notre Dame Prep?s girls lacrosse team defeated visiting Friends School, 14-4, April 12. Notre Dame Prep?s Molly Ford and Caitlyn McFadden each had four goals, while Yeardley Love scored twice and Emily Boch, Maria Brooks, Beth Rhodey and Caitlin Weir scored once for the Blazers.
Freinds (1-9) had a pair of goals from Brooke Matthews and Claire Molloy. Matthews pushed her career goal total to 110 in the game.
Matthews, a junior, scored her 100th goal on April 7. The Quakers? captain reached the milestone in the first half of a 12-6 home loss to John Carroll School. Matthews finished the game with five goals, accounting for all but one of Friends? goals.
Against St. Mary?s April 10, Matthews scored five goals in the 15-11 home loss. Matthews has 33 goals this season and in her freshman and sophomore seasons she scored 39 and 38 goals, respectively.
