All attendees are encouraged to bring worn-out athletic shoes for the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Drive. The Nike Reuse-A Shoe program creates new playgrounds and recreational surfaces out of recycled shoes.
I spoke with Jonathan Ross is a world class fitness trainer and he will be on site for both the games and to teach fitness and dance to the masses. He will also be teaching to people of all ages The Moderation Nation Batuka Dance.”
Ross on the Hershey’s Track and Field event:”We want this to be a fun chance for kids to compete in races against participants of their own age and skill level. There is going to be a great deal of fun but most of all we want them to take away from this the importance of taking time every day to fit some exercise into their life.”
