Kellyanne Conway on James Comey: It’s all about him, wants to be center of power

Former FBI Director James Comey will always act and speak in ways that serve his best interests because he loves to be at the center of power, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said on Monday.

“The one consistent thing about Jim Comey is it’s all about Jim Comey,” Conway told Fox Business.

Conway said Comey wanted to make himself part of the story and more relevant by claiming that he thought, and wanted, Clinton to win the election against Donald Trump.

However, Conway said Comey admitted that he did not vote in the 2016 elections on the pretense of staying “independent.”

On Sunday, Comey appeared in his first interview since being fired last year. His book, A Higher Loyalty, which outlines his time under former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, and short time under Trump, is being released Tuesday.
