President Trump said Friday that NBC News is now “just as “bad as Fake News CNN” after it incorrectly reported that his personal lawyer Michael Cohen was wiretapped.
“NBC NEWS is wrong again! They cite ‘sources’ which are constantly wrong. Problem is, like so many others, the sources probably don’t exist, they are fabricated, fiction!” Trump posted to Twitter. “NBC, my former home with the Apprentice, is now as bad as Fake News CNN. Sad!”

NBC reported Thursday that Cohen’s phone lines were wiretapped, and cited three senior U.S. officials. But hours later, it corrected the story to say his phones were just being monitored with a device that records numbers and duration of calls, but doesn’t listen in on those calls.
Trump says that NBC never had any sources for the story and that they were “fabricated” and “fiction.”
