Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser attended presumed President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in Delaware, breaking her own coronavirus restrictions.
“Dc @MayorBowser & staff attended @JoeBiden victory speech in Wilmington, DE Saturday. Delaware on the Mayor’s list of ‘High Risk’ states which would require quarantine after returning. Bowser staff says the trip was ‘essential travel’ exempted under Mayor’s order,” local NBC reporter Mark Segraves tweeted.

Segraves said in another tweet that Bowser’s chief of staff John J. Falcicchio told him that the mayor was accompanied by her senior advisers and met with Biden adviser, Symone Sanders, and that the trip was considered “essential travel.”
“DC @MayorBowser’s Chief of Staff, @falcicchio says Mayor & her senior advisors met with @SymoneDSanders ( pictured with Bowser ) a senior advisor to @JoeBiden as part of their essential travel to Delaware,” he tweeted.

Delaware, where Biden’s victory speech was held, was still on Washington, D.C.’s, list of “high-risk states that require 14 days of self-quarantine” released on Nov. 2.
Just two weeks ago, Bowser raised alarm over the White House holding a swearing-in ceremony for Justice Amy Coney Barrett, citing coronavirus fears.
Bowser said, “‘Just because you’re invited someplace, it doesn’t mean you have to go,’ noting that a number of people who attended the Sept. 26 event at the Rose Garden in Barrett’s honor tested positive for COVID-19,” the DCist reported on Oct. 26.
Most media outlets declared Biden the victor of the 2020 presidential election, however, President Trump has launched legal battles in states such as Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
On Tuesday, Trump said that progress is being made, and results on potential voter fraud and lawsuits will roll in next week.
WE ARE MAKING BIG PROGRESS. RESULTS START TO COME IN NEXT WEEK. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
