Another unauthorized biography on first lady Melania Trump is slated for release this summer.
Mary Jordan, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for the Washington Post, began working on The Art of Her Deal before President Trump was elected to the White House.
Jordan conducted more than 100 interviews to shed light on Trump’s life before she became the first lady.
“The picture is one of a woman who is savvy, steely, ambitious, deliberate, and who plays the long game,” according to an announcement from Simon & Schuster. “With the help of key people who speak publicly for the first time and never before seen documents and tapes, ‘The Art of Her Deal’ paints a surprising portrait of a determined immigrant and the life she had before she met Donald Trump.”
Jordan added, “The real Melania Trump is far more interesting than the image that many people have of her. She is already gearing up for 2020, and she wants to win as much as her husband does.”
The White House declined Jordan’s request to interview Trump for the book or respond to written questions.
It’s the second book on Trump in less than a year. CNN White House correspondent Kate Bennett’s Free, Melania was released in December. Bennett made the case that Trump is smarter, more independent, and more authentic than she’s given credit for.
The Art of Her Deal is set to be released on June 16.
