President Trump says his supporters like him more because of his harsh rhetoric against the media.
“They like me more because of that,” Trump told Axios when asked why he continues to call the media the “enemy of the people.”
“It’s my only form of fighting back,” Trump added.

Trump stressed that false media reports are bad for the country, and said he was calling out fake news reports long before he ran for the White House.
Media and Democrats have said Trump’s rhetoric has led to more violence in America and division in politics.
His rhetoric has even been linked to multiple pipe bombs that were sent through the mail to prominent Democratic figures and politicians, and to the massacre of 11 individuals at a synagogue in Pittsburgh over the weekend.
But Trump rejects that link, and instead has blamed the media for fueling the fire of violence and anger in the U.S.
