President Trump blasted former first lady Michelle Obama after she delivered a scathing criticism of him at the Democratic National Convention.
On Monday night, Obama warned that the United States “can” and “will” get worse if Trump is reelected. But the president fired back on Tuesday, saying he wouldn’t have been elected if her husband, former President Barack Obama, did his job correctly.
“Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama. Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement,” Trump tweeted.
“My Administration and I built the greatest economy in history, of any country, turned it off, saved millions of lives, and now am building an even greater economy than it was before,” he continued. “Jobs are flowing, NASDAQ is already at a record high, the rest to follow. Sit back & watch!”

“The ObamaBiden Administration was the most corrupt in history, including the fact that they got caught SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN, the biggest political scandal in the history of our Country. It’s called Treason, and more,” he later tweeted. “Thanks for your very kind words Michelle!”

In her address, Obama encouraged people to vote — not for candidates she believes don’t have an electoral chance, alluding to rapper Kanye West’s White House bid, but specifically for former Vice President Joe Biden.
“If we have any hope of ending this chaos, we have got to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it,” she urged.
Trump also criticized New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, challenging his record on responding to the coronavirus in his state.
“Cuomo, just like his brother Fredo, has not got a very good memory!” he tweeted in response to his campaign posting a video with a series of flattering remarks from him and other Democratic governors.
