Celtics blow best chance, will get another in G7

BOSTON (AP) — Boston Celtics forward Sean Williams gave a big yawn before checking into the game for garbage time — just his second appearance in the playoffs this year.

That’s the kind of night the Celtics were having.

LeBron James scored 30 of his 45 points in the first half and had 15 rebounds to lead Miami to a 98-79 victory over Boston in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals on Thursday night and force the series to a decisive Game 7.

Rajon Rondo had 21 points and 10 assists for Boston, which had a chance to win at home and advance to the NBA finals for third time in five years.

Instead, Game 7 will be in Miami on Saturday night. The winner will face the Oklahoma City Thunder.
