President Trump took a shot at Fox News anchor Shannon Bream for interviewing Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, taking aim at a news outlet that has relentlessly supported him. He also mocked the congressman for his failed 2020 presidential campaign.
Bream, the host of Fox News at Night, interviewed the California Democrat on Wednesday night. Bream’s questions focused on the testimony of U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland. Sondland affirmed that there was a quid pro quo with respect to a meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky but said no one told him that Trump tied military aid to the investigations he wanted Ukrainians to conduct.
“Why do @ShannonBream & @FoxNews waste airtime on Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who recently left the Presidential Primaries having attained a grand number of ZERO in the polls,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning. “I don’t even know how that is possible. Fox should stay with the people that got them there, not losers!”

Back in July, the president accused Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum of asking “endless softball questions” before also pointing out that “he was just forced out of the Democratic Presidential Primary because he polled at ZERO.” Trump proceeded to say, “Fox sure ain’t what it used to be.”
Trump is quick to attack certain Fox News personalities, including former anchor Shepard Smith, journalist Chris Wallace, and others, including Donna Brazile and Juan Williams. He recently called Wallace “nasty & obnoxious” for an interview he did with GOP Rep. Steve Scalise.
Just watched Rep. Eric Swalwell be asked endless softball questions by @marthamaccallum on @FoxNews about the phony Witch Hunt. He was just forced out of the Democrat Presidential Primary because he polled at ZERO. Fox sure ain’t what it used to be. Too bad!

Fox News rarely comments on attacks from the president.
Trump Thursday also attacked the media for its coverage of the impeachment hearings, saying he and the Republican Party had a “GREAT day” and that this was not reflected by the “FAKE & CORRUPT NEWS!”
The Republican Party, and me, had a GREAT day yesterday with respect to the phony Impeachment Hoax, & yet, when I got home to the White House & checked out the news coverage on much of television, you would have no idea they were reporting on the same event. FAKE & CORRUPT NEWS!
