Sean Spicer joins pro-Trump super PAC

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer has joined America First Action, the pro-Trump super PAC announced Thursday.

“Sean Spicer is one of the most well-known and well-respected political insiders of our time,” said Brian Walsh, president of America First Action. “Only a select few will ever fully understand the pressure, privilege, and responsibility that come with standing at the Presidential press podium. Sean’s unparalleled political experience, communications savvy, and strong commitment to this administration’s agenda make him an invaluable addition to our organization.”

Spicer, who will serve as the group’s senior adviser and spokesman, said he is “honored” to join AFA’s team.

Formerly a Republican National Committee communications official, Spicer became White House press secretary in January 2017, where he served as a voice for President Trump. He also took on the role of acting communications director after the resignation of Mike Dubke.

He resigned in July, and since has frequently appeared on cable news TV and wrote a book titled The Briefing which, according to its Amazon listing description, “takes readers behind the scenes of his turbulent tenure as President Trump’s press secretary, shedding new light on the headline-grabbing controversies of the Trump administration’s first year.”
