Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will provide comprehensive television coverage and exclusive online content surrounding the Washington Redskins 2010 NFL Draft from April 22 to April 24, highlighted by a half-hour pre-draft show, Washington Post Live: Draft Special, tonight at 7 p.m. The Redskins hold four selections in the seven-round draft, including the fourth overall choice.
The special edition of Washington Post Live, which will be hosted by Ivan Carter, will feature in-studio guests Mike Wise and former NFL receiver Antonio Freeman. Comcast SportsNet’s Kelli Johnson will be reporting live from the NFL Draft in New York and CSNwashington.com Redskins Insider Ryan O’Halloran will join the program from Redskins Park in Ashburn, Va. Cody Grimm, a draft-eligible linebacker from Virginia Tech and son of Redskins great Russ Grimm, will be highlighted in the show, as will recently-retired Redskins lineman Chris Samuels.
In addition to the pre-draft special, Comcast SportsNet will offer extensive television coverage of the Redskins throughout the three-day NFL Draft in SportsNite and Washington Post Live, including breaking news, features and interviews. Comcast SportsNet will provide live coverage of the Redskin’s press conference on Friday, April 23, in which the fourth overall pick will be introduced to the media, and cover the Redskins 2010 Draft Day Party from FedEx Field on Saturday, April 24, where the team will introduce the first-round pick to fans.
CSNwashington.com will provide comprehensive online content surrounding the Redskins 2010 Draft weekend. The exclusive coverage will include up-to-the-minute news and analysis from O’Halloran and Redskins correspondent Rich Tandler. Tandler will also host a special live chat on the site during each round of the draft over all the three days of the event.
