That crowded Virginia Senate field? Yeah, add a few more

Tim Kaine – you’ve got company. And George Allen and Jamie Radtke – you’ve got more.

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

Timothy E. Donner, a Northern Virginia television production company owner, has filed for candidacy.
He joins former U.S. Sen. and Gov. George Allen, Richmond-area tea-party activist Jamie Radtke, Chesapeake minister Earl W. Jackson Sr. and Hampton Roads attorney David McCormick.
Donner, founder of Horizons Television Inc. and a member of the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, was described by a spokesman Tuesday as “very conservative” and “closely in line philosophically with the tea party.”

Federal Election Commission records also show that Julien Modica of Reston has filed to run as a Democrat in 2012, and Robert Lee of Mount Eagle has filed as an independent.

Others, including Courtney Lynch of Fairfax on the Democratic side, and Del. Bob Marshall, D-Prince William, and Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart on the Republican side, could also jump in.
