Bill Maher shared his predictions for the midterm elections, which, according to him, will cause things to “change fundamentally in this country.”
The talk show host switched roles Thursday, becoming a podcast guest on comedian Bill Burr’s Thursday Afternoon Monday Morning show. Maher said that the Republicans would win their various midterm elections.
“I am very much a critique — a critic of what goes on on the fringe of the Left,” Maher said. “I mean, woke culture has just — that’s one reason why the Republicans are gonna do so well in this election. Because the Left has gone super crazy with lots of s*** that the average American just never voted for, doesn’t recognize in this country, doesn’t want.”

“Doesn’t pay attention to,” Burr interjected.
Burr asked Maher what the most important thing the average person should know, to which Maher responded: “The system of government we have is based on checks and balances.”
“There is an election in a couple of days, and we are going to elect about 300 people into Congress who don’t believe in democracy, who don’t believe that the person who gets the most votes wins,” the TV host said. “They don’t care about that.”
Yet, Maher said that these types of candidates are “definitely going to win.” He went as far as to predict that whether former President Donald Trump wins a 2024 presidential bid or not, he will be there on Inauguration Day with the support of the 300 members of Congress “who are going to back his bulls****.”

“That’s what he didn’t have last time,” Maher said.
Maher has a stand-up special lined up at Madison Square Garden the Saturday following Election Day.
