D.C. has tied its previous record for the most 90-degree days in a year.
With Saturday’s high, 2010 matched the record set in 1980 of 67 days with temperatures of 90 degrees or more in a calendar year.
At Reagan National Airport, the mercury hit 93 degrees at 4:02 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Through Saturday, 10 days in September equaled or surpassed the 90-degree mark.
