Almost 150 people were arrested on Saturday night after police broke up a large birthday celebration in Huntington Beach, California.
The party, which went viral on TikTok as a meetup dubbed “Adrian’s Kickback,” was attended by at least 1,000 people, police estimate.
The original post promoting the party used the hashtag “adrianskickback,” which generated more than 203 million views on the app.
Jennifer Carey, a public information officer for the Huntington Beach Police Department, said 121 adults and 28 juveniles were arrested and booked on a variety of charges, including vandalism, the firing of dangerous/illegal fireworks, failure to disperse, and curfew violations.

Carey told NBC Los Angeles that several downtown businesses, police vehicles, and a lifeguard tower were damaged amid the party. No significant injuries were reported.
The crowd, many of whom were from outside the Huntington Beach area, started gathering around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday near a lifeguard tower.
Videos of the event shared on social media showed people dancing and launching fireworks.
As the gathering became rowdier, more than 150 officers from different agencies across Orange County were deployed to Huntington Beach. An emergency curfew was put in effect in the area from 11:30 p.m. Saturday through 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
