Navajo surpasses Cherokee to become largest Native American tribe, enrollment numbers show

The Navajo Nation is the largest Native American tribe in the United States, according to updated enrollment numbers.

With nearly 400,000 members, the tribe surpassed the number of those enrolled in the Cherokee Nation, which stands at 392,000, according to the Associated Press.
