GOP bill places Nancy Reagan park right next to Ronald Reagan airport

Dozens of House Republicans are proposing to name a park along the Potomac River after former first lady Nancy Reagan.

Legislation from Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., would rename Gravelly Point Park as the Nancy Reagan Memorial Park. The park is immediately north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and lets bikers and walkers stand under the airplanes as they take off and land.

Nancy Reagan died last March at the age of 94, nearly 12 years after Ronald Reagan died in 2004. The airport was named after Reagan in 1998.
