Man slashes two Capitol Hill pedestrians

District of Columbia police are seeking a man who used a sharp object to cut at least two pedestrians near the Eastern Market in Capitol Hill. Both victims felt a burning on the back of their necks before realizing they had been cut, police said. The first attack happened near Seventh and E streets Southeast about 6:45 a.m. Friday; the second was in 100 block of D Street Southeast at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday. The suspect was a 6-foot-tall black man in his 20s, wearing a red jacket with black sleeves.
