The first day of the Republican National Convention began on Monday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Delegates from all 50 states gathered to certify former President Donald Trump as the Republican presidential candidate.
Trump announced that Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) will be his running mate for the November election.
The convention started just two days after a failed assassination attempt on Trump.
