WATCH: Ye makes ‘White Lives Matter’ statement at fashion show

The rapper and fashion designer formerly known as Kanye West is blowing up social media yet again with his newest collection. Models at his “Yeezy Season 9” show at fashion week in Paris were seen wearing shirts that said “White Lives Matter” on the back.

“You can’t manage me,” Ye told the crowd. “This is an unmanageable situation. You can’t turn the music lower. This is a god’s dream. A dream that can’t happen without the help of God.”

It’s not clear if the “White Lives Matter” shirts will be sold as part of the fashion line, but they have already received quite a response on Twitter, especially after conservative commentator Candace Owens was seen wearing one at his show.

“Kanye West decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why,” Marc Lamont Hill, the host of BET News and Black News Tonight and a Temple University professor, tweeted.

“So many folks are trying to excuse Kanye wearing a white lives matter t-shirt as just a troll move or marketing. Maybe it is. But it’s a dangerously dumb message to send for someone with his massive platform. I been off dude. But y’all go ahead labeling his foolishness as genius,” podcast host Jemele Hill tweeted.
