Former corrections officer sentenced to prison
Former D.C. corrections officer Quincy Hayes was sentenced to a year in prison for accepting bribes in exchange for smuggling contraband. Hayes, 32, of Alexandria, admitted to accepting $300 from an undercover FBI agent to smuggle an inmate an iPod. He must also serve two years of supervised release and perform 100 hours of community service.
