Social Security update: October direct payment worth $943 goes out in 1 day

October’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $943, will go out to millions of people on Tuesday.

SSI payments are allotted to people living with debilitating disabilities that affect their incomes, according to the Social Security Administration.
