SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has designated $7.4 million Cook County construction projects.
The governor’s office says the projects will be managed largely by the Illinois Department of Transportation. They include modernized traffic signals in Calumet City, deck repairs on the I-55 bridge at Lake Shore Drive in Chicago and the resurfacing of portions of Roosevelt Road in Chicago and Cicero. A $1.6 million pedestrian path will also be constructed in Palos Heights.
