So that’s what a slap in the face from a tweenager feels like.
UnitedHealthcare’s “100@100” survey released Thursday found that 10-year-old Americans would invite pop stars Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to their parents’ dinner party over President Obama.
Specifically, 67 percent of the 100 10-year-olds polled said they would like to invite Swift over for dinner, while 65 percent named Katy Perry as their ideal guest. Obama came in third with 51 percent, beating out songstress Beyonce (47 percent) and actress Jennifer Lawrence (40 percent).
The annual poll typically surveys 100 centenarians (individuals who are aged 100 years or older) but this year, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, also included opinions of 100 10-year-olds.
It’s not only the young Americans who don’t see Obama as the ultimate dinner table guest. Sixty-three percent of the centenarians selected actress Betty White as their preferred dining partner, while 60 percent named POTUS.
In addition to eating with Swift and Perry, 10-year-olds would also prefer winning an Olympic gold medal to dining with Obama.
Kids these days.
