Cameron Hamilton, the temporary leader of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, was fired less than one day after testifying to Congress that he did not believe it should be shuttered.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed to the Washington Examiner early Thursday afternoon that Hamilton was no longer the head of FEMA, hours after he had posted on X that he was looking forward to the continued work in that post.
