Trump’s reelection campaign has yet to pay an over $470,000 bill for a February rally in El Paso, Texas.
The Feb. 11 rally held came days after President Trump’s delayed State of the Union Address.
The invoice shows reimbursement costs for the help of El Paso’s police, fire, aviation, and health departments as well as charges related to street maintenance and the use of the metro to bus attendees.
Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke held a rally the same month that set the city back over $21,000. He has since paid the bill.
“It shows a lack of concern for the community and tax paying voters of El Paso,” city Rep. Alexsandra Annello told USA Today. “President Trump has in many ways, over the last year, put a financial burden on this community and has yet to show us the respect we deserve.”
If the campaign fails to repay the $470,000, the city plans to absorb the cost by utilizing sales tax revenues and over $400,000 in back taxes collected from a wealthy El Paso businessman.
The Trump campaign has not commented on the delay.
