September’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $967, will go out to recipients in 23 days.
While SSI payments typically go out at the start of every month, September’s payment goes out on Aug. 29 since Sept. 1 is a holiday. If the first day of a month falls on a holiday or weekend, SSI payments will be issued the previous business day.
