The latest Rasmussen poll of likely voters once again shows double digit support for repeal (52 to 41 percent), and even higher support among independents (54 to 40 percent) than among likely voters as a whole. This comes on the heels of an AP/GfK poll that shows lower support for Obamacare than at any time since its passage last March. That survey shows Americans disapproving of Obamacare by a 10 point margin (35 percent in favor to 45 percent opposed), and seniors disapproving of it by a 30 point margin (29 percent in favor to 59 percent opposed). The AP/GfK survey shows such tallies despite polling 29 percent Democrats to only 20 percent Republicans.
But not everyone is opposed to Obamacare. The AP reports that the unconfirmed and highly controversial head of Medicare, who is also a supporter of Britain’s National Health Services, defends Obama’s approach of looting about three-quarters of a trillion dollars from Medicare during the 10 year budgetary window and spending it on Obamacare. Dr. Donald Berwick says that he also opposes Paul Ryan’s plan for reforming Medicare along the lines of the health care system available to members of Congress.
