Stewart’s Palin-awesomeness theory

Daily Show’ host Jon Stewart took a few funny jabs at Sarah Palin‘s comments to Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren that America could take Gov. Chris Christie “at his word” based on his most recent re-announcement of his intentions to stay out of the 2012 race. Pointing out that Palin appeared to discuss Christie almost immediately after his announcement was aired, “like an alarm went off, like they were talking about somebody else!”  Stewart’s pokes at Palin’s celebrity status were the highlight of the segment. Echoing her former teases about a run for the White House in 2012, Palin asked, “Is a title worth it? Does a title shackle a person? Because I’m a maverick, I do go rogue and I call it like I see it … so that’s the biggest contemplation piece in my process.” To that, Stewart replied, “becoming the President would diminish your power!? It’s not that you might not be able to bare the weight of the presidency, it’s that the ballpark ain’t big enough to contain your awesomeness!”
