The Republican National Committee is out with a new web ad that uses Trumpian language to describe its party’s presumptive general election opponent for president.
With Donald Trump having crossed the delegate finish line to capture the GOP nomination and Hillary Clinton all but assured the Democratic nod, the Republicans’ national organization seized on a damning State Department review of Clinton’s use of a private email server for official business, calling her “Crooked Hillary”. Just like Trump.
“Crooked Hillary Gets Caught Lying Again,” the ad’s title reads. It concludes with the declaration, “We’ve had enough of Crooked Hillary’s lies.”
Trump, bestower of nicknames, came up with that nickname in April.
His follow-up this month is more alliterative: “Heartless Hillary“.
