An unknown robo-caller is encouraging Gov. Martin O’Malley’s supporters to stay home, even though polls are open until 8 p.m., according to O’Malley’s campaign.
O’Malley’s campaign said voters have called to complain about the robo-call, which alludes to an O’Malley victory ahead of the polls’ closure.
The text of the call, according to a copy provided by O’Malley’s campaign, reads:
“I’m calling to let everyone know that Governor O’Malley and President Obama have been successful. Our goals have been met. The only thing left is to watch it on TV tonight. Congratulations and thank you.”
