A firefighter was injured and 15 apartment units were destroyed in a Prince George’s County fire.
The blaze broke out at the building, located at 6315 Landover Road, at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to Prince George’s County fire and emergency services.
The fire appears to have started in a kitchen on the second floor of the three-story building. No one in the building was hurt, but a firefighter was injured when he fell about 15 feet from a ladder. He was taken to a hospital in good condition, the fire department said.
Fire and emergency services authorities and the Red Cross will help residents of the 15 apartments affected by the blaze. Twenty-two adults and five children are displaced.
