The mother of a 17-year-old charged in the fatal shooting of two men during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this summer said she will have her revenge on President-elect Joe Biden for linking her son to white supremacists.
During an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday, Wendy Rittenhouse said Biden “used my son’s image to get votes” before lashing out at the septuagenarian’s campaign for using Kyle Rittenhouse’s image in a September anti-racism tweet that was seen millions of times.

“How dare [Biden] … do that to my son?” she said. “That’s my son that he did that to. And I’m not going to back down from him, and [Kyle] is not a white supremacist. He’s not a racist. He is my son, and I know him. And he is none of that, what Joe Biden said.”
The legal team defending Kyle Rittenhouse claims the Illinois teenager acted in self-defense during a skirmish with protesters.
He is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Anthony Huber and first-degree reckless homicide for the death of Joseph Rosenbaum. He has also been charged with attempted first-degree homicide for allegedly wounding Gaige Grosskreutz with his rifle.
He was extradited to Wisconsin, and his bail was set at $2 million. Rittenhouse faces up to life in prison if convicted of the charges. His next scheduled court appearance is set for Dec. 3.
Prior to the shootings, Rittenhouse was filmed cleaning graffiti off a local high school and told a reporter that he was there to protect small businesses, some of which had been destroyed the night before in riots that broke out following the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha.
“He went to Kenosha to help people, and what Joe Biden did and showed my son’s picture, his image, and labeled him as a White supremacist, I will take him down,” Wendy Rittenhouse added.
The video released by the Biden team has been watched nearly 3 million times and includes images of Kyle Rittenhouse with audio of Fox News anchor Chris Wallace asking President Trump if he would condemn violence perpetrated by white supremacists. Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney has announced plans to sue for libel.
