On April 5, 2008, police found 35-year-old Robert Reid suffering from a gunshot wound in the basement of a home in the 4700 block of 66th Place in Hyattsville. Police have said they believe Johnson shot Reid after an altercation at a house party.
Sex offender gets 14 years for coercing girl
A man convicted of rape in Fairfax County in 2003 was sentenced to 14 years in prison for later coercing another 13-year-old girl to have sex.
The girl was 35-year-old Michael Allen Alper’s third victim, according to prosecutors.
The Silver Spring resident met the 13-year-old girl from Alexandria at an anime and gaming conference in Oxon Hill in February 2010, according to court documents. They began communicating online, then met up on several occasions where Alper — who introduced himself as Michael Allen — forced her to have sex.
Alper was previously convicted of raping a 13-year-old Great Falls girl in 2003. Court records say he also admitted to fondling and having sex with a 14-year-old Reston girl in 2003.
