County explains response to fatal fire

Firefighters may have been delayed slightly by an inaccurate address and inadequate personnel available for the Abingdon house fire that killed two adults and three children last week, but no shorter response time could have saved them, officials said.

On Friday, Harford County officials released the taped 911 calls from the Jan. 18 fire that killed five members of the Shropshire family and left two others homeless. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the blaze.
