Now that Gadhafi is proved right, what next?

So now that the “mad dog of middle east,” self-proclaimed Colonel, Moammar Gadhafi is proved right, what next? The old eccentric was shouting himself hoarse that the rebels are Al Qaeda…which was just proved correct a few days back, creating a very strange scenario of the U.S., UN, EU and Al Qaeda fighting side by side.

Incredible! Millions of taxpayers’ money is going to Al Qaeda, those same people who fought NATO in Afghanistan and Coalition in Iraq.

Anti-war articles are popping up across the internet, with the feeble and shaky approval for this intervention spiralling down into the abyss.  A brilliant article criticises the Obama denial of a rapidly escalating war...and another absolute scathing must read from the Canadian perspective, rubbishing the “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine.

The Arabs, and Al Jazeera, stepped up their criticism too, criticising the intervention. But the cracking funniest part came from Pakistan. Apparently, Pakistan’s foreign secretary says that “the Pentagon injected $130 (million) in Western media to destabilise the Arab world.”

Moving on to Yemen, Islamic militants seize weapons and sack armoury in the ongoing turmoil, as Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s ouster could be “major problem,” according to Robert Gates.

And in Egypt, the Islamist groups are already a rising force.

What a mess this has become.
