Jill Biden seen reading to children at White House without mask

First lady Jill Biden was seen reading to children at the White House Monday without a mask.

A video posted by CSPAN shows the maskless first lady reading in the State Dining Room to second graders from Malcolm Elementary School in Waldorf, Maryland, who were all made to wear masks and sit distanced from one another.

“Did you get money under your pillow from the tooth fairy?” she asked the children. “Yeah? How much did you get?”

One of the children answered that they got $1, while another child said they got $100.

“Wow, I’m gonna come sleep at your house,” the first lady said. “I think I got a quarter.”

The first lady read her children’s book Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops based on her late son, Beau.

Martin and Chris Kratt from PBS’s Wild Kratts also entertained the children while not wearing masks, the video shows.

Biden was also seen earlier this month without a mask at a Texas Children’s Hospital event in Houston, where she greeted, in close proximity, several attendees with handshakes.
