Forget campaign ads — prayer might be the best way to stop Hillary Clinton from being elected president in 2016, if Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is to be believed.
Host Jan Markell, of the radio show Olive Tree Ministries, interviewed the Congresswoman on Monday, as The Huffington Post reported. Markell asked Bachmann about the former Secretary of State’s chances in 2016.
“Fast-forwarding to 2016 for a minute, Michele, are you one of those who just assumes that Secretary Hillary Clinton will be coronated?” Markell asked.
“I don’t at all,” Bachmann responded. “because I look at the story of David and Goliath. All David needed was one smooth stone to fell the giant. It wasn’t the stone; it wasn’t David. It was the strong right arm of a holy God.”
Bachmann said if the American people repented and cried out to God, “we have no idea what the Lord God will do for us in 2016.”
She stressed that a Republican President wouldn’t be a savior for the GOP, especially since the Party still has a long way to go in harnessing messaging and technology. Instead, she encouraged the GOP to focus on a “positive, big picture message solution.”
