Christie to Obama: Get off your chair

Gov. Chris Christe, R-N.J., during an event at the Republican Jewish Coalition, said that President Obama needs to “get out of [his] chair” and do the “hard work” of leading the United States.

“Mr. President, we need a leader who will lead us to the moment,” Christie says in a 30 second video posted to his Youtube account. He was responding to Obama’s speech yesterday, in which the president called for Americans to “meet the moment” and “up our game.”

Christie continued, saying Obama should “help define what the challenges of the moment means, and then [we need a leader] not to be cautious and safe and sit back and wait for someone else to do the hard work, but to get out of your chair and do the hard work yourself to make America a better place.”

Mitt Romney, whom Christie has endorsed for president, has made the length of Obama’s Christmas vacation a point of attack and an opportunity to raise money for his presidential campaign.
