Trump ousts Bondi over Epstein debacle

The uncertainty at the Department of Justice came to a swift and decisive end following a high-stakes entanglement involving the release of Jeffrey Epstein files. On April 2, President Donald Trump officially removed Pam Bondi from her post as attorney general, with Todd Blanche to fill in as interim AG. 

While Bondi was initially brought in for her perceived loyalty and media presence, and performed admirably during her first year, she ultimately failed to meet Trump’s core expectations for a “hard-nosed” enforcer of the America First agenda.
