You don’t have to be a connoisseur of Kubrick films to appreciate this one.
The prank group Improv Everywhere staged a recreation of the iconic scene from “Spartacus” inside a Manhattan Starbucks for its latest video. In the actual 1960 film, a Roman officer tells a large group of slaves that their lives will be spared if they identify among them the movie’s protagonist, Spartacus. Instead, the slaves rise from the ground and shout “I’m Spartacus!” en masse, standing in solidarity with their leader.
So you can imagine how things would turn out inside a coffee shop when a barista announces to the patrons that Spartacus’ drink is ready to be served.
