Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were the surprise guests at Sunday night’s Kennedy Center Spring Gala. Why TomKat? Well, the evening was billed as a salute to the movies, featuring directors Steven Spielberg (who worked with Cruise on “Minority Report” and “War of the Worlds”) and Martin Scorsese (who directed Cruise in “The Color of Money”), as well as the king of movie scores, composer John Williams.
