Three people were killed and seven more were injured on Saturday afternoon in a shooting in Twin Falls, Idaho, near an In-N-Out restaurant, according to local authorities.
A shooter opened fire on several people shortly before 2:30 p.m. local time, according to CBS News. The shooter is among the dead, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters at a news conference held Saturday night.

In videos obtained by the outlet, people can be seen fleeing a shopping center parking lot as gunshots ring out. Hicks said law enforcement is interviewing the “hundreds of people that were in some way, shape, or form in the area” of the restaurant at the time of the shooting. The suspect’s identity has not been identified.
“I don’t have the exact number confirmed,” Hicks said at the initial press conference, referring to the number of fatalities. “We’re still trying to make notifications to their next-of-kin. We’re trying to work with St. Luke’s [Magic Valley Medical Center] and our coroner’s office to ascertain the exact numbers of fatalities. We also have a number of people being treated for injuries at our local hospital here.”
An FBI spokesperson told the outlet the agency is assisting with the investigation. Police shut down nearby roads and a bridge as part of the emergency response.
