ALTOONA, Pa. — The pizza was still warm at Family Pizza on Pleasant Valley Boulevard when Andrea Verobish called Blair County’s special election “an election on steroids.”
She had just won it overwhelmingly in a state House district Republicans have held since the Carter administration.
