Thus, “We fight for a Green New Deal because it’s the only plan that meets the scale of the crisis, one that puts people and planet over profit to build a more just and sustainable economy.”

On the ground, the DSA has organized “local chapters” and formed “environmental justice coalitions” under the banner of “ecosocialism” to “tackle” the “global nature of capitalism-driven climate change.”

Most recently, the DSA redoubled its unabashed support of the GND when it released its policy platform called Workers Deserve More.

Under the pillar of “thriving working class communities,” the DSA lists the GND, stating that, “Workers must lead our democratic transition to a green future.”

Workers must also support passage of a “federal jobs guarantee,” or what some call a universal basic income, according to the DSA.

But that is not all. Workers also must support implementation of “massive investment in sustainable, publicly owned energy and transit infrastructure.”

Plus, all workers must unite and refrain from using any form of fossil fuels because the DSA demands society immediately “phase out the use of fossil fuels” under the GND.

With just a little bit of critical thinking, one can easily determine that those policies will not help the working class thrive at all.

I want to hear DSA members and candidates clearly articulate exactly how giving everyone a monthly check from Uncle Sam for doing nothing specifically helps blue-collar workers.

All DSA supporters should be pressed to explain how this will not explode the national debt, increase inflation, disincentivize employment, decrease production, or beget more government dependence.

More importantly, most ordinary, hardworking people do not think we need a “democratic transition to a green future.”

Working-class people know that the DSA’s green future will make their lives worse because they will have fewer choices for higher costs.

I think it stands to reason that most pipe fitters, ironworkers, welders, machinists, and others are not champing at the bit to go green, buy an electric vehicle, and eat the costs.

Earth to the DSA, nearly all hardworking people are less concerned with the effort to “reclaim and repair our earth’s resources for all” than they are with making sure they can pay their bills.

With that being the case, why the DSA believes that “workers” would support a “massive investment in sustainable, publicly owned energy and transit infrastructure” boggles my mind.

Blue-collar workers are much too street-smart to fall for the “renewable, sustainable energy” gaslighting. Furthermore, they know the “free” public buses are never free.

Most significantly, workers of all stripes, except those in the cottage industry of environmental justice, universally understand that the absurd idea of “ending fossil fuels” is like committing civilizational suicide.

The very thought of terminating the use of fossil fuels is anathema to the working class who can deduce that doing so would instantly end modern society as we know it.

The DSA wrongly assumes that most working-class people still believe that “climate change” is an imminent threat.

The facts say otherwise. Fortunately, at least for now, climate realism is eclipsing climate alarmism among all Americans.

Because the GND and its associated policies have become so toxic, I predict a DSA rebranding in the near future.

I would not be surprised if the DSA ditches or at least tones down the GND propaganda in the years ahead and shifts its ire toward artificial intelligence and data centers.

With DSA heavy hitter Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) recently admitting that “Woke 1 was crazy,” I suspect the hyperbolic, unpopular climate change rhetoric will be overshadowed by fearmongering over data centers and AI.

Whereas the DSA thrives on stoking class warfare, real workers thrive under a free-enterprise system that fosters competition, innovation, ingenuity, self-reliance, and even creative destruction.

As history shows, the U.S. free-market system is the undisputed champion when it comes to opportunity and prosperity for workers.

IN COMMON SENSE VS. CRAZY, DEMOCRATS LOSE EVERY TIME

The DSA wants workers to believe that “democratic” socialism can compete with the invisible hand of the free market when it comes to creating wealth, jobs, and class harmony.

So did those in charge of the Soviet Union, East Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, and all the many other socialist worker paradises that encompass quite a bit of the ash heap of history.
